Buttermilk Basil Vegetable Dip

(Adapted from Confident Choices: A Cookbook for Interstitial Cystitis and Overactive Bladder)


  • 2 c. fresh basil, chopped finely
  • 2 green onions
  • ½ c. buttermilk
  • ¾ c. low-fat cottage cheese, strained
  • 1 t. lemon zest
  • ½ t. salt
  • ½ t. pepper (if tolerated)

Combine fresh basil, green onions, buttermilk, and cottage cheese in blender. Blend until smooth. Add lemon zest, salt, and pepper and whisk together.
